Construction Project Management is available for new tourism, leisure, retailing, major residential and public sector projects which have been recommended as a result of MPC's Economic and Planning Services. construction development

Leisure planning development
The Project Management Division is headed by a Senior Consultant who has practical experience in managing major projects 
throughout the world. The prime concern of the service is 
to ensure that developments are completed on time and within cost estimates. 

The responsibilities of the Project Manager include:

1. Analysing the client's requirements and objectives.
2. Advising on the selection and terms of appointment of designers, architects, quantity surveyors, structural engineers and M & E consultants if no resident consultants are available.
3. Preparing the design brief.
4. Representing client in negotiations with planning authorities.
5. Considering alternative design solutions, recommending the preferred design solution and establishing the total budget cost and outline programme.
6. Co-ordinating the work of the professional firms, resolving problems and ensuring that as the design is developed it continues to meet the client's requirements, budgets and timetable.
7. Ensuring that proper and timely action is taken to obtain all statutory approvals.
8. Deciding on the appropriate procedures to be adopted in appointing the contractor.
9. Appointing the contractor and monitoring subsequent progress.
10. Monitoring the effect on programme and budget of variations and delays.
11. Ensuring that the design team has discharged the client's brief and produced a building that complies with the requirements.
12. Overseeing the preparation of procedures and organising the resources necessary to operate and maintain the building.
13. Negotiating any claims from contractors.
